COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Lawrence Clifton, 95, of Columbus, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Aug. 2, 2013, at Kindred Columbus Health in Columbus.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2013 for 95-year-old Lawrence Clifton of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Cape Girardeau, who died August 2, 2013 at Kindred Columbus Health in Columbus, Indiana.
He was born April 27, 1918 in Menfro, the son of Norman and Grace (Foster) Clifton who both preceded him in death.
He married Ida I. Winkler on February 15, 1946. She preceded him in death on June 3, 1998.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jane and Chuck McGuire of Columbus, Indiana and Kathy and Dave Spring of Eldridge, Iowa; two brothers: Francis Clifton of Scottsdale, Arizona and Virgil Clifton of St. Louis; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Lawrence was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Franklin, Indiana.
Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 6 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home.
