Clifton, Mary Ann (nee Vernon)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mary Ann Clifton, 80, of Perryville died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery at Crosstown, Missouri.

Mary Ann Clifton, 80, of Perryville died July 13, 2014 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born December 28, 1933 in Crosstown, MO, daughter of John and Thelma (Streiler) Vernon. She and William "Burt" Clifton were married April 19, 1952. He survives in Perryville, MO.
Mary Ann was a home maker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown, Ladies Sodality and Good Neighbors Club, Crosstown 4H Club.
Other survivors include two daughters and one son; Kim (Russ) Lane of Jackson, Joan Carlton & Joe Triolo of Geneva, IL, Dale (Sherry) Clifton of Perryville, two sisters and two brothers; Betty (Bill) Petot of Perryville, Faye Chadwick of Festus, Louis (Ede) Vernon of Festus, James (Clara) Vernon of Arnold, five grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at Young & Sons Funeral Home from 4:00 to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, July 16 from 6:30 am – 10:00 am.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 16 at Young & Sons Funeral Home at 10:00 am with Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Crosstown.
Memorials are preferred to American Diabetes Association.
