Conrad, Ruth Eileen (nee Hinton)
Ruth E. Conrad, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 18, 1912, in Allenville, Mo., the daughter of Harry H. and Carrie Kinder Hinton. She and Howard R. Conrad were married Dec. 24, 1938, in Cape Girardeau by the Rev. H.H. McGinty. Mr. Conrad passed away Nov. 23, 1982.
She was a graduate of Whitewater High School. She was employed by International and Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau for 44 years before retiring in 1975. She was also a member of First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her sister, Maxine Reed of Scott City, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Dewey Hinton, Stein Hinton and Howard Hinton; and six sisters, Altha Soper, Ella Seabaugh, Gladys Biladeau, Agnes Crites, Drucille Picou and Vivian Reynolds.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. until service time.
Service will be at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jay White officiating.
Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
Ford & Sons is in charge of arrangements.
