Cook, Clyde

MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Clyde Cook, 76, of Marble Hill died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 3, 1931, son of Charley William and Radie James Cook. He and Geraldine A. Kirkpatrick were married Feb. 20, 1948, in Patton, Mo.

Cook worked as a logger, and at Lutesville Pallet Mill and Shell Feed Supply Co. He was a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronnie Cook of Marble Hill; a daughter, Ruberta Hanners of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Helen Crader, Ruth Long; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, sisters and three infant children.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jim Fulbright and Steven Sander officiating.

Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
