Cox, Helen Louise (nee Leible)
KELSO, Mo. -- Helen Louise Cox, 90, of Kelso died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at her home.
She was born June 16, 1924, to William Theodore and Emma Bertha Goetz Leible. She and Eugene Webster Cox were married May 30, 1947, in Kelso. He preceded her in death June 10, 2008.
Helen was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, St. Ann's Sodality and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney (Nancy) Cox of Marietta, Georgia, Randy Cox of Kelso; two daughters, Jeanne Pruitt of Cape Girardeau, Janet (Jerry) Hahn of Kelso; a sister, Virginia Hovis of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Shari Smith, Kathryn Cundy and Clayton Cox; four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Adam Smith, and Jamie and Henry Cundy.
She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Pruitt; three brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at St. Augustine Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
Memorials may be sent to St. Augustine Catholic Church or Southeast Hospice.
