Funeral services were held Friday at the Baptist Church in Crump for Lonzo E. Crump, 79
year old retired farmer, who died Wednesday at his home in Whitewater, after an illness of
several years.
Rev. John W. Fowler and Rev. James Trentham conducted services and burial was in the cemetery at Crump.
Mr. Crump, was known to his friends as "Uncle Lonzo", was born Nov. 1876 at Crump. In 1898 he was married to Belle Arnold, who survives. He farmed in the Crump community until 1944 when he retired and moved to Whitewater. He was the last charter member of the General Baptist Church at Crump.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Omer Wampler and Mrs. A.D. Bartels of Whitewater; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
