Davis, Lucille Z. (nee Meyer)
Lucille Z. Davis, 95, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born February 18, 1917, in Neelys Landing, daughter of William B. and Bertha E. Farrow Meyer. She and Henry F. Davis were married Sept 28, 1941.
Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, where she formerly taught Sunday School, and was the former Sunday School secretary.
Loving survivors include her husband of 70 years; a son, Roger (Gail) Davis of Fenton, MO; a daughter, Marilyn (Raymond) Accola, of Fairbanks, AK; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five siblings; Nellie; twins, Alfred and Grace; Marie; and Lucille’s twin sister, Louise.
Friends may call Monday, March 12, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Monday, at 11:00 AM at the chapel, with the Rev. Jon Sedgewick officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
