Deck, Amon Dale

GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Amon Dale Deck, 70, of Glenallen died Monday, July 7, 2003, at his home.

He was born Jan. 28, 1933, at Hahn, Mo., son of Roy M. and Gertrude Shell Deck. He married Shirley Eady, who died in May 1978. He and Charmaine Manley were married Jan. 26, 1980, at Glenallen.

Deck was a self-employed auto mechanic, and a member of VFW Post 5900.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Billy Eady of Germantown, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Torya Pritchett of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Loma Woodfin and Nedra Peters of Glenallen; a brother, Clifford Deck of Plevna, Mo.; his stepmother, Dorothy Deck of Glenallen; and four stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Frank Shanks and Dr. John Englehart officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill, with military service by VFW Post 5900 and the U.S. Marine Corps League.
