Devenport, Darrel F.

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Darrel F. Devenport, 74, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1936, in Patton, Mo., son of Frederick Monroe and Elva Elizabeth Mayfield Devenport. He and Bonagene Masters were married Jan. 29, 1955.

Darrell started working for Crader Equipment as a mechanic, then became shop foreman and then store manager. He was a past member of the Antique Tractor Clubs in Bollinger County and Egypt Mills, Pulliam Cemetery Board, International Harvester Collectors Club, and a member of Little Whitewater Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bonagene of Marble Hill; two sons, Mark Devenport of Jackson, Roger Devenport of Sedgewickville, Mo.; a brother, Harold Devenport of Columbia, Ill.; a sister, Iola Newton of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Esther Devenport of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Derek, David, Megan and Colby Devenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy Dean; two brothers, Floyd and Hubert; and a sister, Viola Seabaugh.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Little Whitewater Baptist Church near Patton. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pulliam Cemetery Trust Fund.
