Diebold, Mary Margaret (nee Glueck)

Mary Margaret Diebold, 76, of Scott City died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Ancell, to Andrew and Philomena Hamm Glueck. She married Charles Henry Eugene Diebold on May 22, 1954, in Kelso, Mo. He preceded her in death Nov. 16, 2006.

Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.

Survivors include three sons, Richard (Stacey) Diebold of Scott City, Wayne (Diane) Diebold of Springfield, Mo., Jeff (Val) Diebold of O'Fallon, Mo.; three daughters, Donna (Tim) Joplin and Melissa (Shane) Glover of Cape Girardeau, Gale (Dale Schlosser) LeDure of Scott City; a brother, A.J. Glueck of Victorville, Calif.; two sisters, Barbara Schaefer and Anna Adams of Scott City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at St. Joseph Church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., Suite 101, St. Louis, MO 63132-3253, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
