A funeral will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 for 72-year-old Gary C. Dobbelare of Perryville who died September 30, 2014 at his residence in Perryville.
He was born December 29, 1941 in St. Louis, the son of Alphonse and Anita (Bodenschatz) Dobbelare who both preceded him in death.
He married Carol Richardet Dobbelare on November 27, 1965. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by four sons: Shane (Judy) Dobbelare of Apple Creek, Scott (Lindsey) Dobbelare, Shannon (Denise) Dobbelare and Stephen (Dana) Dobbelare, all of Perryville; 10 grandchildren: Jake, Luke, Mollie, Maddie, Jaden, Kailee, Kash, Holden, Memphis, Aubrie Dobbelare; two half-brothers: Roy Bibbs and Paul Bonney, both of St. Louis; and a half-sister: Nancy Wells of Leadwood.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson: Alexander Dobbelare; and his birth mom, Gladys.
Gary had been a school bus driver, worked as an ambulance driver and driver for SMTS.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 and 6:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited Friday at 10:30 a.m.
A funeral for 72-year-old Gary C. Dobbelare of Perryville will be held at noon Friday, October 3, 2014 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan and Deacon Walter Biri will concelebrate.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to PCMH Kid’s Healthcare Fund.
