Dockins, Nancy Jane (nee Nanney)
Nancy Jane Dockins, age 91, of Glen Allen, MO; passed away, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 27, 2013.
She was born November 16, 1921 in Scopus, MO, daughter of William Asa and Alice Jane Nations Nanney. She and Ora Lee Dockins Sr. were united in marriage on August 6, 1938 and he passed away on December 24, 1994.
Nancy was a homemaker and of the General Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughters Shirley Plante of Marble Hill; Peggy Hanners of Glen Allen; three brothers; Alfred Nanney, Bobby Nanney both of Marble Hill, Cecil Nanney of Advance, three sisters; Stella Carmen of Manchester, MO, Thelma Nanney, of Marble Hill, Louise Smith of Imperial, MO, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her parents, son, Ora Lee Dockins Jr., six brothers; Melvin, Lester, Vester, John, Lee and an infant, two sisters, Ethel Shreiner and Velma Cook and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mount Zion Cemetery near Scopus, MO.
