Douglas, Harold E. "Gene"
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Harold E. "Gene" Douglas, 76, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at his home.
He was born March 25, 1931, at Scopus, Mo., son of Charles Edon and Emma Epsoline Patton Douglas.
Douglas retired as a custodian with Cape Girardeau School District. He was a member of Post Oak Methodist Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Edward Douglas of Marble Hill; three daughters, Jean Foster of Allenville, Pamela Petty and Sandra Glastetter of Marble Hill; three sisters, Mildred Long of Sedgewickville, Mo., Delphia Brown of Marble Hill, Ruby Brotherton of Patton, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, six brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Paul Freiheit officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Cemetery with full military honors provided by Missouri Honors Team.
