Dunker, Lewis A.

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lewis A. Dunker, 77, of Perryville died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born Jan. 18, 1928, in White, S.D., son of Hillary and Eunice Biery Dunker. He and Dolores Feltz were married April 10, 1951, at Sereno, Mo.

Dunker was a truck driver with Perry County Co-op. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, American Legion Post 133 and Knights of Columbus.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean war.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Dunker of Perryville; a daughter, Debra Thomas of St. Mary, Mo.; two brothers, Delos Dunker of Perryville, Wendell Dunker of Davenport, Iowa; a sister, Donna Olson of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Parish prayers will be at 7 tonight with Knights of Columbus, followed by an American Legion service. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Church, with the Rev. Francis Agnew officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
