G. Andrew Early, III
Chesapeake - George Andrew Early, III, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He grew up in the Portlock area of Chesapeake and graduated from Portlock High School in 1946. He was a member of Oaklette United Methodist Church, Berkley Masonic Lodge No. 167, receiving 50-year membership honors in 2009. He was an avid sportsman whose passion was quail hunting. He served four years in the United States Air Force and retired from Todd Company.
Andy is survived by his wife, Lillie, of 62 years, daughters Karen Howell, Kim (Eddie) Berry, grandchildren Heather (Rob) Saunders, Andrea (Joel) Fravel, Michelle Berry, Seth Howell, and great-grandchildren Keegan and Easton Saunders, Lillie Fravel; a sister, Dorothy Gibson, and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, 10:00 am at Oaklette United Methodist Church; followed by a celebration of his life at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Oaklette United Methodist Church, 520 Oaklette Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23325.
