Ellis, Drusia Leona (nee Ates)

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Leona Ellis, 72, of Sedgewickville passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at her residence.

She was born April 21, 1939, at Millersville, daughter of Tony Otto and Alma Lou Fulbright Ates. When Leona was 2 years old, her father passed away and her mother was remarried to Albert Kistner, who raised her as his own.

On May 17, 1957, she and Jerry Ellis were united in marriage.

Leona was a homemaker and a member of the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; two sons, Gregory (Mary) Ellis and Bryan Ellis, both of Sedgewickville; a daughter, Pam (Ronald) Walther of Jackson; a brother, Alan (Glenda) Kistner of Millersville; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her father, mother and stepfather; two sons, Anthony and Patrick; and a brother, L.B. Ates.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Greg Dowler, Robert Graham and Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sedgewickville.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Dowler, Rev. Robert
Graham and Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sedgewickville.
