Ervin, Marilyn Jo (nee Latham)
Marilyn Jo Ervin, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Charles Willard and Naomi Market Latham.
Mrs. Ervin worked for Saint Francis Medical Center for 20 years as a housekeeper, retiring in 2000. After her retirement she was a volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Lynn Kembel and husband Robert of Oak Ridge, Paula Jean Sharum and husband Gary of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Dorothy J. Matthews of Cape Girardeau and Beverly A. Lynxwiler of Paducah, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Paul Scott Kembel of Jackson, Julie Diane Sharum of Conway, Ark., and Stephanie Jean Sharum of Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
