Fornkahl, Melvin L.

Melvin L. Fornkahl, 108 North Boulevard, died at 9:49 Wednesday night at Southeast Missouri Hospital here. He was 60 years old.

Mr. Fornkahl was born Feb. 6, 1915, in Oriole, and was married to the former Miss Flora L. Barks on Nov. 27, 1943 here. He was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church here and had worked for 22 years for Kimbel and Delta Truck Lines before retiring in 1965. Mr. Fornkahl had also farmed.

Surviving: his wife; brothers, Arthur C. Fornkahl, Jackson and T.A. Fornkahl, Jacksonville, Ill.; sisters, Mrs. Roland Weissinger, Cape Girardeau, Mrs. A.B. McCullin, Springfield, Ill., and Mrs. Jack Tidwell, Raytown; 11 nieces and six nephews.

Three brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 7 tonight at Ford and Sons Funeral Home here, where service will be at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Robert Daniel, pastor of Hanover Lutheran Church will officiate with burial in Memorial Park.
