Franklin, Donald Roy
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 26th, 2005 for 76-year-old Donald R. Franklin of Perryville, who died Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born December 29th, 1928 in Crystal City, the son of Samuel and Eleanor (Rhyne) Franklin. They preceded him in death.
He married Marcella A. Balsman November 5th, 1949. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by: a son and daughter in law, Gary and Kim Franklin of Perryville; two brothers and sisters in law, Wallace and Alma Franklin, Harold and Joyce Franklin, all of Perryville; a sister, Renelda McClarney of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne "Spanky" Franklin.
He retired after 31 years of employment with General Motors. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034 and the U. A. W.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 25th, and from 6:30-9:30 Saturday, November 26th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Chapel.
Funeral Mass for 76-year-old Donald R. Franklin of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26th, 2005 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
