French, Harold J.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 for 66-year-old Harold J. French who died Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus.

He was born on April 14, 1936 in Perry County, the son of the late William and Rosa (Tucker) French.

He was married to Alice "Faye" Herron French on July 7, 1956. She survives in Perryville.

Two daughters survive, Sheila Downs of Versalles, Kentucky, and Donna Brown of Perryville.

One brother, Robert French, survives in St. Mary, and one sister, Zita Gibbar, survives in Perryville.

Three grandchildren also survive.

One daughter, patty French, two brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. French had worked at Quality copiers as a technician.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Perryville Elks.

Visitation will be from 3:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish wake will be at 6:00 p.m. The Elks will be at 6:30 p.m. visitation will continue Saturday, Sept. 28, from 6:30-8:50 a.m.

Funeral Mass for Harold J. French will be Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be sent to family use.
