Friese, Jewell Beatrice (nee Statler)
Jewell B. Friese, 98, of Friedheim died Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Lixville, Mo., daughter of Julius and Willie Statler. She and Elmer W. Friese were married May 3, 1936. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1992.
Jewell was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Survivors include a son, Paul J. (Mary) Friese of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Helen Riehn of Friedheim and Kathleen (Gerald) Sewing of Jackson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Friedheim.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Fund.

A funeral will be held Monday, June 24th, 2013 for 98-year-old Jewell Friese of Friedheim, who died Friday, June 21st, 2013 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born December 29th, 1914 in Lixville, the daughter of Julius and Willie Statler. They preceded her in death.
She married Elmer Friese May 3rd, 1936. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son and two daughters, Paul J. (Mary) Friese of Cape Girardeau, Helen Riehn, of Friedheim, Kathleen (Gerald) Sewing of Jackson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and one sister.
Jewell had been a homemaker. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 23rd, and from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Monday, June 24th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for Jewell Friese of Friedheim will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24th, 2013 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger Steinbrueck will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Friedheim.
