Fritsche, Erwin Richard

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30th, 1999, for 88-year-old Erwin R. Fritsche, of Farrar, who died Wednesday.

Born on September 4th, 1911 in Perry County, the son of Max and Gertrude (Muench) Fritsche. He married Elda Schuessler in 1943, and she survives.

Also surviving are three sons; Richard Fritsche of Austin, TX, Erwin J. Fritsche of Cape Girardeau, and Larry Fritsche of Evansville, In. One daughter survives; Christine Best of Uniontown. Three sisters survive; Elsie Koch of New Wells, Erna Rubel of New Wells, and Norma Clifton of Perryville. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister.

He belonged to Salem Lutheran Church of Farrar, was a former member of the church's Men's Club, was an Elder at the church, and was on the Salem School Board and Salem Silent Servants.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4 - 9 pm at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Additional visitation will be on Saturday morning from 6:30 - 8. A funeral service for Erwin Fritsche, of Farrar will be on Saturday at 10am, at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Lutheran Hour, KFOU, or the Salem Capital Improvement Plan.
