Fronabarger, Robert P.

Robert P. "Bob" Fronabarger, 76, of Wickliffe, Kentucky, passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.

He was born at home Sept. 1, 1938, at Daisy, son of Paul Willett and Della Mae Hahs Fronabarger. He and Sandra K. Erdos were married Feb. 3, 1962, in Oak Ridge.

Bob attended high school in Oak Ridge.

He enlisted in the United States Navy on June 11, 1956, and was honorably discharged Aug. 31, 1959.

He worked at Ceramo Works in Jackson, and later worked for the Missouri Department of Agriculture in Sikeston and Kansas City. They moved to Iowa where he worked for Sioux City Grain Inspection Co. and then to Kentucky where he purchased Cairo Grain Inspection Agency.

Bob became a member of the Masonic Lodge in Oak Ridge and was currently a member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge in Jackson. Bob became a member of the Scottish Rite in Kansas City and later became a 32nd degree Shriner at Abu Bekr Shrine in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cairo, the KIM (Kentucky/Illinois/Missouri) Shrine, and Grace United Methodist Church in LaCenter, Kentucky.

Loving survivors include Sandi, his wife of 52 years; a son, Keith (Kelly) Fronabarger of Kevil, Kentucky; a daughter, Brandi Fronabarger of Paducah; a granddaughter, Ashton (Matt) Cavanaugh of Wickliffe; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Cavanaugh; a brother, Randy Fronabarger (fiancee Ruth Moneyhun) of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jamie Lee officiating. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery at Oak Ridge with full military honors.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund, 325 W. Kentucky Drive, LaCenter, KY 42056.
