MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Clyde Fulbright, 82, of Marble Hill died Monday, March 15, 2010, at his home, with his wife of almost 62 years and other family members by his side.

He was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Mayfield, Mo., son of Albert James and Stella Cook Fulbright. He and Velma Dean Devenport were married April 11, 1948.

Clyde had worked at Deevers Shoe Co. and Shell Feed, and was a farmer. He was a member of the Gospel 4 Quartet and of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his wife, Dean of Marble Hill; a sister, Velda (Rev. Cecil) Cook of Edwardsville, Ill.; and two nephews, Terry (Pam) Cook of Glen Carbon, Ill., and the Rev. Clinton (Judy) Cook of Springfield, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright and the Rev. Clinton Cook officiating. Entombment will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Southeast Hospice.
