Gagnepain, Patricia Zita (nee Reiss)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Pat Gagnepain, 98, of Perryville died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born April 15, 1907, in Perry County, daughter of August and Elbertine May Reiss. She and Monroe Gagnepain were married April 6, 1931. He died Dec. 19, 2005.

Gagnepain had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Charity, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Vogt of Crestwood, Mo.; a brother, Elvis Reiss of Perryville; a sister, Ann Marie Sweany of Clearwater, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Revs. Francis Agnew, Kevin Fausz and John Gagnepain officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 21st, 2006 for 98-year-old Pat Gagnepain of Perryville, who died today (Friday, February 17th, 2006) at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born April 15th, 1907 in Perry County, the daughter of August and Elbertine (May) Reiss. They preceded her in death.

She married Monroe Gagnepain April 6th, 1931. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Susan and John Vogt of Crestwood; a brother, Elvis Reiss of Perryville; a sister, Ann Marie Sweany of Clearwater, FL; three grandchildren, John P., Tricia and husband Mike Roth, Susanne Vogt and fiancée Mike Derenski; great grandchildren Logan and Adam Roth.

A sister, Mae Moore, and two brothers, Clarence and Bill, preceded her in death.

She was a skiver at International Shoe, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Ladies’ Auxiliary and Ladies of Charity.

Visitation is from 4-8:30 p.m. Monday, February 20th, and from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 21st at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. A Catholic Wake will be held Monday at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass for 98-year-old Pat Gagnepain of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 21st, 2006 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Revs. Kevin Fausz and John Gagnepain will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

You may make memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools or Southeast Hospice.
