Gagnepain, Velda (nee Miget)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Velda Gagnepain, 91, of Perryville died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Gagnepain officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 for 91-year-old Velda Gagnepain of Perryville who died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born in Perry County on January 13, 1918, the daughter of Leo and Alice Alberta (Hager) Miget, who both preceded her in death.
She married Woodrow J. Gagnepain January 4, 1943. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2005.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Francis and Cathy Gagnepain of Festus; two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary and Mick Gibbar of O’Fallon, Illinois and Anne and Elmo Donze of Perryville; two sisters and one brother and sister-in-law: Leola Laws, Lily Meyer and Leo and Joanie Miget all of Perryville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Luella Miget, Marguerite "Pete" Young and Ruby Meyer.
She had worked as a purchasing agent for Perry County Memorial Hospital and at Miraculous Medal.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. .
Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent Schools.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 and 6:30-9:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 28th, 2009 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
