Garland, Cloyd Edward
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Cloyd E. Garland, 76, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at his home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1930, at Scopus, Mo., son of William Daniel and Lillie Mae Cook Garland. He and Aleen Huffman were married Sept. 27, 1952.
Garland had been a cement truck driver. He attended Plainview Congregational Methodist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick Garland of Marble Hill, Roger Garland of Newnan, Ga.; a daughter, Carol Davis of Marquand, Mo.; a brother, Jerry Garland of Herculaneum, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jimmie Fulbright and Lee Myers officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery near Marble Hill, with full military honors provided by Missouri Military Honors Team.
