Geile, Edgar C.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Edgar C. Geile, 90, of Perryville died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Montclair Residential Care.
He was born May 26, 1911, in Perry County, Mo., son of Joseph L. and Josephine Doll Geile. He and Eleanor Proctor were married Dec. 28, 1931. She died Jan. 15, 1967. He and Juanita Rushing were married Sept. 3, 1968.
Geile worked for Perry County Highway Department, and also farmed. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Silver Lake, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Geile of Perryville; a daughter, Shirley Mantovani of St. Charles, Mo.; two stepsons, Kenneth Hall of Perryville, Howard Hall of Sedgewickville, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Donna Renner of Perryville; a sister, Rita Shekelton of Hialeah, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, two brothers, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:20 a.m. The wake will be at 7 tonight.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Church. The Rev. Alphonse Hoernig will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
