A funeral will be held Friday, August 17th, 2007 for 84-year-old Francis N. "Nubbin" Gibbar of Perryville, who died Tuesday, August 14th, 2007 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 24th, 1923 in Silver Lake, the son of Joseph and Nettie (Duvall) Gibbar. They preceded him in death.

He married Gladys Jannin September 19th, 1944. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Wayne and Connie Gibbar, Raymond and Emy Gibbar, all of Perryville; three daughters and sons in law, Velma and Merlin Brickhaus, Deborah and Rodney Bruckerhoff, all of Perryville, and Rose Diane and Leo Meyer of Uniontown; a sister, Laverne Schnurbusch of Perryville; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two sisters, three brothers, two grandchildren and a daughter in law.

He worked at Mississippi Lime Company, International Shoe Company and was a farmer.

He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, August 16th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A Parish Wake begins at 7:15 p.m. Visitation continues at Miller from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, August 17th. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

Funeral Mass for 84-year-old Francis N. "Nubbin" Gibbar of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 17th, 2007 at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Silver Lake. The Rev. Alphonse Hoering will officiate.

Burial will follow in the St. Rose of Lima Church Cemetery.
