PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- James Henry Gibbar Jr., 82, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

He was a member of the National Guard.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 for 82-year-old James Henry Gibbar Jr. of Perryville who died December 13, 2012 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

He was born January 24, 1930 in Crane Island, Illinois, the son of James H. Gibbar, Sr. and Mary Ella (Belsha) Gibbar.

He married Faye Francis Hagan in August 1953. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2010.

He is survived by five daughters: Sherry (Tony) Gibbar Roberts of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Tina (Danny) Gibbar Clements of Cape Girardeau, Connie (Ronnie) Gibbar Hotop and Donna (Brad) Gibbar Zoellner, both of Perryville, and Diane (Jeff) Gibbar Philliber of Grayson, Georgia; a sister: Jeanette Brown of Perryville; and eleven grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson: Chad Hotop, and six siblings.

He was a general contractor and owner of General G. Construction Company, Industrial Foam, and Gibbar Technology.

He was the inventor of the patented and award-winning GibbarWall Insulated Panel Wall Systems.

He also was president of Lake KahTanDa Association and a member of the National Guard.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 and 8-10 a.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 82-year-old James Henry Gibbar Jr. of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred for visitation and memorial service at funeral home.
