Gilbreath, Evelyn (nee Lopez)
Evelyn Gilbreath, nee Lopez, 80, of Fairmont City, Ill., born February 13, 1927, in Fairmont City, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Gilbreath was a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Sodality and the Fairmont City Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Gilbreath; a son, Arthur Lee Gilbreath; her parents, Concepcion and Maria, nee Alvarado, Lopez; and two sisters, Frances Lopez and Della Cisneros.
Surviving are her son, Michael (LeAnn) Gilbreath, M.D., of Bluffton, S.C.; her grandchildren, Olivia Gilbreath and Amelia Gilbreath of Bluffton, S.C.; three brothers, Gregory (Barbara) Lopez of Granite City, Ill., Valentine Lopez of Oahu, Hawaii, and Frank Lopez of Fairmont City, Ill.; and a sister, Victoria Arambula of Louisiana. Memorials may be made to Holy Rosary School.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. at the mortuary.
Funeral: Funeral procession to leave at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, from Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill., for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father David Wilke officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
