Glasser, Mary Lorene (nee Elfrink)

KELSO, Mo. -- Mary Lorene Glasser, 80, of Kelso died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Oran, Mo., daughter of Benjamin and Christine Beal Elfrink. She and Wilfred Lloyd Glasser were married June 7, 1949, in Chaffee, Mo.

She was self-employed as an in-home caregiver. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and the St. Anne's Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Kenneth Glasser of Park Hills, Mo.; Willy Glasser of Kelso; Stephen Glasser of Scott City; seven daughters, Patricia Glasser of Milford, Conn.; Dorothy Lett and Cathy Glasser, both of Scott City; Mary Lou Pugh and Susan Glasser, both of New Mexico; Rose Cook of West Haven, Conn., Mildred McCormick of Carthage, Tenn.; a sister, Martha Weismueller of Chaffee; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with parish prayers at 7 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Church in Kelso, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
