Goehman, Milton Lee

Milton Lee Goehman, 86, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at his home.

Milton was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Jackson, the son of Marvin C. and Thelma A. Mollenhour Goehman. He married Biddie Rose Hopper on July 3, 1948, in Scott City. She preceded him in death March 1, 2009.

Milton was an agent telegrapher with the Frisco Railroad 39 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. He loved to fly model airplanes and was a member of the SEMO Modelers Association.

Survivors include four daughters, Sharon Alley of Columbia, Mo., Connie Walker of Chaffee, Mo., Toni (Gary) Senn of Scott City and Yvonne (Bob) Waddington of House Springs, Mo.; two brothers, Conway Goehman of Ironton, Mo., and Lonnie Goehman of Des Arc, Mo.; his stepmother Helen Johnson of Piedmont, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a sister, Delores Tanner; and a great-grandson, Lucas James Walker.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at the chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Scott City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to VNA Hospice.
