ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Esther E. Grebing, 96, of Altenburg died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 24, 1910, at Brazeau, Mo., daughter of Phillip and Martha Bock Weinhold. She and Paul J. Grebing were married Aug. 23, 1931. He died Nov. 3, 1985...

A funeral will be held Monday, April 10th, 2006 for 96-year-old Esther E. Grebing of Altenburg, who died Thursday, April 6th, 2006 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 24th, 1910 in Brazeau, the daughter of Phillip and Martha (Bock) Weinhold. They preceded her in death.
She married Paul Grebing August 23rd, 1931. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Oliver and Marion Grebing of Jackson, Marvin and Beverly Grebing of Altenburg; two daughters and a son in law, Phyllis and Lee Mueller of Centennial, CO and Imogene Thompson of Arvada, CO; three sisters, Hattie Blum of St. Louis, Gertrude Hacker of Crosstown and Irene Gerdes of Washington; 12 grandchildren, Stephen, Ralph, Barbara, Harvey, William, Phillip and Kathy Grebing, Rebecca Leadbetter, David and Jennifer Thompson and Melissa Love; 16 great grandchildren, Joshua, Destiny, Dilan, Victor and Bethany Grebing and Phillip Grebing Jr., Rachel Leadbetter, Clay Pingel, Michael and Derek Emerson, Kyle and Cortney Haertling, Stephen and Alicia Thompson, Claire and David Love.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ada Kaufmann, and five brothers, Oscar, Walter, Bill, Charles and Adolph Weinhold.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, LWML, Ladies’ Aid, Altar Guild, and the Senior Citizens of Altenburg.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 9th, and from 6:30-9 a.m. Monday, April 10th at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.
A funeral for 96-year-old Esther E. Grebing of Altenburg will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 10th, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Steven Dressler will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
