Greene, Lois (nee Hoilman)
BAKERSVILLE – Lois Hoilman Greene, 81, of Buchanan Drive, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002. She was the daughter of Troy and Lizzie Buchanan Hoilman, and wife of the late Thomas Greene. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Greene; a sister, Josephine McKinney; and brothers, Howard and Bruce Hoilman. A homemaker, she was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Vivian McKinney of Raleigh, Betty Sue Sigmon of Spruce Pine, and Margaret Polka, Cherry Statler and Beverly Vines, all of Bakersville; a sister, Faye Helen Buchanan of Bakersville; brothers, Wade and Sherrill Hoilman of Bakersville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Bakersville Baptist Church. Revs.
Vernon Buchanan and Billy Stewart officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Friday in Bakersville
Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Funeral Home in Bakersville was in charge of arrangements.
