Greer, Marie Katheryn (nee Hansen)
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Marie Katheryn Greer, 89, of Marble Hill passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1921, at Flat River, Mo., daughter of Rhonie "Totts" and Edna Mabuce Hansen. She and Russell V. Greer were married Aug. 6, 1943. He passed away July 5, 1993.
Marie worked as a mail carrier and a teacher. She was a member of Eastern Star and Old Union Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce and Van Greer of Marble Hill; two sisters, Joann Shrum of Marble Hill, Hazel Dulle of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and J.K. Hansen; and a sister, Ila May Abernathy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery near Bessville, Mo.
