Griffith, Francis
Francis Griffith, 71, of Holts Summit, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo.
He was born July 3, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Clarence Eugene and Betsy Jaco Griffith. He and Betty Jane Hardin were married Sept. 20, 1969, in Cape Girardeau.
Francis worked at Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau and Jefferson City, and De Saw Industrial Equipment. He was a member of Solid Rock Family Church in Jefferson City.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Jane Griffith of Holts Summit; three children, Mark E. Griffith and Tina Crabtree of Jefferson City and Rebecca "Becky" Griffith of Holts Summit; a brother, Dale Griffith of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul A. Griffith.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Henson and the Rev. Betty Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
