Hahs, Ethel Mae Davidson (nee Pease)

Ethel Mae Hahs, 80, of Scott City died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Elgin, Ill., daughter of Walter and Marguerite Wagner Pease. She first married Rex D. Davidson, who preceded her in death. She and Billy G. Hahs were married Jan. 5, 1974, in South Elgin, Ill.

Formerly of Elgin, she worked at Illinois Tool Works. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elgin, VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary and Eagles Aerie 3775 Auxiliary in Cape Girardeau.

She moved to Scott City in 1996 from Jackson.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Duane Davidson of Clinton, Iowa, Danny Davidson of Jackson, Mack Davidson of Elgin, Rick Davidson of Gilbert, Ill.; seven daughters, Sheri Banbury of Elgin, Margie Jasutis of South Elgin, Beverly Hercik of Jackson, Susan Smith of Denver, Colo., Karen McCabe of Columbus, Ohio, Ann Pettit of Huntley, Ill., Sandra Davidson of Burlington, Ill.; a sister, Mary Effa of Green Bay, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 7 p.m. today. A memorial service will be held at 5, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.

Friends may also call at Wait-Ross and Allanson Funeral Home in Elgin from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., with Dr. Larry Pickens and the Rev. Mona Walker officiating.

Private family burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park at Elgin.
