Hahs, Paul Edward
JACKSON - Paul ("Jake") Hahs of Jackson died Monday morning at
11 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, where he had been a patient since May
10.
Mr. Hahs, 51 years old, was born April 18, 1928, in Jackson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis
Hahs. He was reared in the Oak Ridge community, and graduated from the Oak Ridge High
School.
On Feb. 8, 1947, he was married to Miss Betty (Louise) Heimbaugh, and they resided in
Jackson, since their marriage.
Mr. Hahs served in the Marine Corps from November 1951 to November 1953, serving a year in
Korea. He was employed at the International Shoe Co. plant in Jackson, and for the past 19
years was an employee of the Penzel Construction Co., Jackson, as a project supervisor.
Mr. Hahs was a member of Labor Local Union No.282, American Legion Altenthal-Joerns Post
158, Jackson, First Baptist Church, Jackson, and Travelers Protective Association.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert Hahs, of the family home; one daughter, Mrs. Paula
Lombardo, Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; and his mother, Mrs. Maude Hahs, Jackson. His father
preceded him in death in 1965.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the McCombs Funeral Home in
Jackson with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 this afternoon.
