SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Steven Ray Hahs, 57, of Sedgewickville passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, at his home.

He was born July 6, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, son of Eugene and Ruby Barks Hahs. He and Sheila Corbin were united in marriage Sept. 25, 1982.

Steven worked as a service technician for CSPI Corp. He was a member of Sedgewickville United Methodist Church, and secretary-treasurer of Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He served his country proudly in the United States Navy from Jan. 6, 1976, to April 5, 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila of the home; a son, Joel Hahs of Sedgewickville; a daughter, Jenna Rae (Jason) Fadler of Pacific, Missouri; a sister, Gena (Mike) Welker of Patton, Missouri; a granddaughter, Raya Lynn Fadler; in-laws, the Rev. Jimmie E. and Elwanda Corbin of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Jimmie Mack (Barbie) Corbin of St. Peters, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Regina Rainey of Glenallen, Missouri; two nephews, Kirk (Kristy) Smith of Patton and Jamie (Caryn) Rainey of Glenallen; four nieces, Tabitha (Barry) Grossman, Bridget Welker, Whitney Welker of Cape Girardeau and Nikki (Herb) Schuler of Oswego, Illinois; five great-nephews; two great-nieces; and several cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, James D. Rainey Sr.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton and from 9 a.m. until service time at Sedgewickville United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Revs. Pam Ekey, Jimmie E. Corbin, Charles Buck and Billy Hahs officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sedgewickville, with full military honors provided by the United States Navy.
