Hahs, Verdetta Louise (nee Schrock)
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Verdetta Louise Hahs, 78, of Marble Hill, died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Woodland Hills in Marble Hill.
She was born Nov. 6, 1936, in Scopus, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer B. and Alma Malvern Baker Schrock.
She married Doyle W. Hahs on April 17, 1968, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2011.
She co-owned Ren's Package Liquor and later worked as a certified nurse's aide.
She is survived by children, Jeanna Liley and John Borchelt of Marble Hill, Donald Borchelt of Barnhart, Missouri, and stepdaughter, Patti Barret, of Marble Hill; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a stepdaughter.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
