Hamper, Jack E.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Jack E. Hamper, 64, of Perryville died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, in the Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room in Cape Girardeau.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam era.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

Jack E. Hamper, 64, of Perryville died August 6, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center E.R. in Cape Girardeau, MO.
He was born December 7, 1949 in St. Charles, MO, son of Avak Hampazum Sisleian "Jack" and Flora Laura (Hoffstetter) Hamper. He and Sandy Layton were married June 26, 1993. She survives in Perryville, MO.
Jack and his wife Sandy were owner operators of Fred’s Flowers Gifts and Savories. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam Era. He was a member of several floral organizations, Life Changers Ministry, American Legion Post 133, and Perryville Chamber of Commerce.
Other survivors include one son, Aram Mikhail Hamper of St. Louis; one daughter, Melissa Pingel of Perryville; and five grandchildren, Alec, Elaina, Jayce and Jenna Pingel, and B.B. Elkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10 at Young & Sons Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Fred Baue.
