John Thomas Hanners, 80, died Dec. 6 at the Poplar Bluff Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon at the Assembly of God, Rev. R. L. Bollard officiating.  Burial was in Rock Hill Cemetery west of Campbell.  Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers included Butch Bunton, W. M. Cooley, Eddie Shepard, Bud Moore, Arley Hanners and Darrell Southard.

Mr. Hanners was born Feb. 26, 1894 and was a long time resident of Campbell.  He was a retired farmer and gin employee and in recent years had made his home with his grandson, David Logsdon of Campbell.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mae Shepard and Mrs. Ellie Moore of Campbell and Mrs. Opal Southers of Bangor, Mich.; a brother, Luke Hanners of Bangor, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
