Hanners, Sophia Catherine (nee Statler)
Mrs. Sophia Statler Hanners
Born Dec 18, 1878 in Bollinger County near Sedewickville Mo. She departed Thursday April 26, 1951 at Poplar Bluff Hospital at the age of 72 years 4mo and 8 days. She joined the Missionary Baptist Church at a very early age and remained a true christian until death. She came to this country at age of 16. She was united in marriage to Henry Hanners at the age of 16. To this union 9 children were born. Two preceding her in death. Those surviving are Luther and Elexander of Campbell, MO. John of St. Frances, Ark. Andrew of Manila, Ark. Opal Southard of Campbell, MO. Ella Moore and May Shepard also of Campbell, MO. She is survived by 35 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, One brother Jim Statler of Lepanto, Arkansas.
