Hartle, William Wayne "Bill"
MARQUAND, Mo. -- Bill Wayne Hartle, 67, of Marquand passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 1, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, son of Arthur "Bud" and Elsie Marie Wilfong Hartle. He and Karen Lee Slover were married Jan. 27, 1968.
Bill worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol from 1970 to 1977 and then was a safety supervisor with Overnite Transportation from 1977 to 1998. He was a member of Patton United Methodist Church and Patton Cemetery Board.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; two sons, Matthew (Becky) Hartle of Houston and Kenneth Hartle of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Arthur "Bud" (Terri) Hartle Jr. of Frisco, Texas; a sister, Phyllis (Junior) Cook of Marble Hill, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Kailey, Lila, Kurtis and Jake Hartle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kurtis Wayne Hartle.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Missouri.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Pam Ekey officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
