Hauenschild, Hilda (nee Lange)
Hilda Hauenschild, 94, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 3, 1918 near Tilsit, daughter of Ferdinand and Alma Loos Lange.
She and August “Augie” Hauenschild were married August 9, 1941 in Bloomfield. They had been married 65 years when he passed away March 21, 2007.
Hilda was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. She and Augie became members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson in 1962.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Loving survivors include two sons, Wayne Hauenschild of Florissant, MO and James Hauenschild of Mascoutah, IL; two daughters, Rhonda (Grover) Cole and Jane Salvatore, all of Jackson; two brothers Richard (Fern) Lange and Walter (Susie) Lange all of Jackson; two sisters, Melva Mirly and Adela Moore both of Jackson; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, a daughter, five sisters, and a brother.
Friends may call Monday, August 13, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 14, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Radio Broadcast or a church or charity of your choice.
