Hedrick, Thomas Leeman "Trey", III
Spc. Thomas Leeman "Trey" Hedrick III, 31, of Fort Riley, Kan., formerly of Thebes, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, in a hunting accident at Milford Lake in Junction City, Kan.
He was born Nov. 18, 1982, in Cape Girardeau, to Patricia Macke and Thomas Hedrick Jr. He and Brandi Palmer were married March 18, 2006, in Cape Girardeau.
Trey had worked at Nordenia in Fruitland, and at 1st Tire and Wheel.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Nov. 18, 2009, and was currently on active duty. He had served in Afghanistan.
Survivors include his wife, Brandi; a son, Thomas Leeman Hedrick IV; a daughter, Erynne Nichole Hedrick, all of Fort Riley; his father, Thomas Hedrick Jr. of Thebes; his mother, Patricia Mayberry of Jonesboro, Ill.; a brother, Mark Hedrick of Thebes; and paternal grandparents, Doris and Thomas Hedrick Sr. of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Warren officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes. Full military honors will be provided by personnel from Fort Leonard Wood.
