PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Helen Adeline Henderson, 99, of Perryville died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A VFW Auxiliary wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday...

A funeral will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 for 99-year-old Helen Adeline Henderson of Perryville who died March 14, 2013 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born December 2, 1913 in Kimmswick, daughter of George and Clara (Vogt) Muench.

She married John F. Henderson on August 29, 1934. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1997.

Survivors include four children: Carol (Adrian) Brown of Searcy, Arkansas, Georgia Fay Blechle of Perryville, John D. (Lilly) Henderson of Mexico and Neil (Gloria) Henderson of Perryville; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her a daughter: Phyllis (Mrs. Melvin Jr.) Riney; a son-in-law: Robert Blechle; two sisters: Norma Prevallet and Leah Queen; a brother: Clair "Pete" Muench; a great-grandson: Joshua Oehl; and a great-great-granddaughter: Aubrey Brown.

She had been a skiver at International Shoe Factory and later a cook at PHS School.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Berean Bible Class, and VFW Post 4282 Auxiliary.

She was a 1931 graduate of PHS.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 17 and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, at Young & Sons Funeral Home.

A VFW Auxiliary wake will be held at 7 p.m.

A funeral for 99-year-old Helen Adeline Henderson of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School or Immanuel Building /Debt Reduction.
