Hennemann, Herbert L.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999 for 85-year-old Herbert L. Hennemann of Perryville who died Saturday.

He was born October 12th, 1913 in Milheim, the son of Joseph and Anna Behrle Hennemann who preceded in death.

He married Ida Mae Lancaster on June 27th, 1934. She survives in Perryville.

Three daughters also survive: Shirley Meyer and Linda Leible, both of Perryville and Mary Ellen Brueggeman of St. Charles.

Two sisters survive: Irene Prost and Luella Roth, both of Perryville.

Eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.

He was also preceded in death by one step brother.

He was the manager of the Kiefner Lumber Company Hardware Department for 50 years.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1263, Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and member and past president of the Perryville Chapter of the Western Catholic Union.

He was a former alderman of the city of Perryville, past president of the Park Board, fireman with the Perryville Fire Department for 37 years and was assistant fire chief from 1950 to 1978. He was also past president of the Ozarks Firefighters Association.

Visitation from 5 until 9 this afternoon and evening and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Knights of Columbus and parish wake service at 7 this evening.

A funeral mass for 85 year old Herbert L. Hennemann of Perryville at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, CM, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or the St. Vincent de Paul Education Foundation.
