Henson, Helen M. (nee Mecker)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Helen M. Henson, 86, of Perryville died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 16, 1920, at McBride, Mo., daughter of Theodore A. and Flora H. Meyer Mecker. She and LeRoy "Duffy" Henson were married May 3, 1942. He died Aug. 23, 1994.
Henson retired from the Bank of Perryville. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Dunker of Perryville; a son, Phil Henson of Riverview, Mich.; two sisters, Bernice Weber of Perryville, Alice Nelson of St. Charles, Mo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Christopher Cole officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
